Mommy + Me// Casie + Layla

I spent some time with Casie + her little peach Layla a couple weeks ago and left feeling so inspired and as I edited these images I got so EMOTIONAL! Why? Well its not a surprise, Im a sentimental sap but this one hit me.

Since having my own daughter (6 months ago now- WAH) I have truly been able to appreciate seasons, and time so much more. I look at my own daughter and see how much she has changed- that when I edited these images I couldn't help but hope that they will fill an album or wall in Casie's house. These are moments captured in time. They create beautiful memories. Those little hands, those sweet tiny toes, the giggly smile and of course the sucking on her shoulder- all of that will change in the blink of an eye it seems like. It goes by WAY TO FAST!

Life is to short to waste on stressing over the what ifs, the to do lists. Life is full of tiny moments and I am blessed that I get to capture them. Its an honor that people will look back on these memories and smile a bitter sweet smile. That someday when Layla is graduating these will be the "embarrassing" images Casie shows with pride. I am so thankful when I have clients who not only trust me to capture these moments but see the beauty and importance in them as well.

So congrats little 4 month old Layla. You are the apple of your mama's eye and such a beautiful, happy girl. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU to Casie- loved capturing you and Taylor over the years and its been a blessing to meet your little one.

Love Story Session // Travis + Courtney

Late this past fall I was able to spend some time with these two love birds for a mini love story session. I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time (and oh so large HA) but we all pushed through the cold wind and drizzle to get some sweet images and it was sssooo good! And it doesn't hurt that Travis and Courtney are so fun and beautiful..they made my job easy. A perfect way to end my fall mini sessions and a nice way to spend the afternoon with friends.

Thanks you two for being kind and patient. I was so happy to fit you in and hope to work with you both again this year. <3

SENIOR Hannah

Just a quick sneak peek into Hannah's Senior Portraits. :)

I photographed Hannah back in August and I am FINALLY getting around to updating my website and blog. It's been WAYYYY to long. So I am starting it off again with one of my favorite sessions of my senior portrait season so far.

This beauty was such a delight to work with AND I even found out she has the locker next to my brothers at their High School! She was up for anything, twirled in her pretty white sun dress and flashed the most amazing long lashes. I want them.. ;)

Thanks girl- loved spending time with you and so HAPPY you love the images.

Hi there

WELCOME to our new website and thanks for stopping by!

I guess I should probably share with you all a little bit about us, what makes us tick and why we do what we do. ;)

I started showing interest in photograph back when I was 12 years old. My mom had been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and the outdoors became a place where I could heal and express myself. This passion developed inside of me to share with others what I saw and inspire them to find beauty even in the "ugly" seasons.

Fast forward to my senior year of high school, where I photographed my first senior session. Before this I was just photographing landscapes and nature, with the occasional impromptu "model" shoot with my sisters and close friends. Seriously people, we were pros at the selfie before it was even a thing. :D

By the time my first wedding came along I was a freshman in collage and truly had no idea what I was doing. Both Davy and I are probably considered self taught, although we both took classes in high school and collage.  However, we had never taken a class on how to photograph a wedding. I remember being afraid to raise my voice and terrified of what people thought of me. I only had two lens and one memory card. Davy was my boyfriend at the time and had a knack for photography as well, so I dragged him along as my second shooter. He had to borrow his uncles camera and a tie from his dad for the big day.

Its been over six years since then and we look back and laugh at how clueless we were. All we knew is that we loved people, being creative, and getting free food. However, everyone needs to start somewhere and we are proud of how far we have come. We are constantly learning and willing to try new things. We never want to become stagnant in our work, and continually try to inspire and motivate others to live the lives they have always dreamed of!

God has blessed us with AMAZING clients, who have become friends and even family. We love capturing those huge moments in life and sharing in all of the laughs and happy tears. Seeing our bride and grooms become parents, our seniors graduate and get married, and families grow and grow.. it makes our hearts overflow with joy! We are truly blessed to do what we love and are so thankful for every step in this crazy journey.

Now that you know just a little bit of our story we thought it would be fun to share with you all some of our firsts! Our first wedding, senior, engagement, family and maternity photos, followed by some of our newest work. :) Thanks for stopping by and to everyone who has believed and trusted us, we couldn't do this without you!!!
