Hey there,

Well it’s been a hot minute since I posted on here…. oops.

Life has been busy and crazy since my last post in 2020- double oops.

I had my second girl, right before the world and went crazy, and in that period of time we have shot over 50 weddings. This year we will end with another full wedding season of 31 weddings. Crazy, Crazy!

Not to mention life with two little ones has its own challenges. But I am so grateful for all God has given us. Davy found a new job working as a bus driver for our local school- which means he has summers off! Which is huge for us and being so busy in the summer months. Were finding the new groove and its really working over here. Even if there are days were burnt out and exhausted, were thankful for our girls who bring us so much joy and adventure. It’s hard leaving them so much and working so hard, but at the end of the day it’s all for them and that makes it worth it!

I will eventually be updated this whole website with all new branding but for now- this busy working mom is keeping things simple and basic. Our editing has changed since 2020, we are now a perfect mixture of moody, light & airy and true to color. We work with what the environment is giving us for lighting and were loving the warm undertones in our work. Don’t worry, nothing has changed to much over here..just been brought more into the current trends.

Honestly, were growing, learning and pushing over here. Last year we shot 3 destination weddings! A HUGE bucket list moment for us. A wedding in Lake Placid, NY, a elopement on the beach in Oregon, and a lovely wedding with 100 guests on the beach in Nantucket, MA. We LOVE the adventures this job brings us on and are looking forward to all the good things in store for us for the future. Hopefully some more adventure/destination weddings & elopements. ;)

We are now booking for 2023 and 2024 so don’t hesitate to reach out! We would love to chat with you about your day and see if we would be a good fit!

Be Blessed,

Em & Davy

A Spring Time Wedding in CNY // Vincent & Amanda

EJP Wedding-556.jpg

I love photographing friendship.

I love when you can feel it in a photo.

That’s Vincent & Amanda. They have such a beautiful friendship. Their day was 100% all about them and I mean that in a good way. It was simple and sweet. Romantic and filled with some of the kindest people. It was filled with traditions but still had a couple that just wanted to get married- no matter what it looked like. If their wedding was this spring and not last- then they would have been one of the couples to probably still elope and have a big shindig later on. It didn’t matter what their day looked like Amanda and Vincent were tying the knot!

They lucked out with the prettiest spring day and we still had Cherry Blossoms on the trees. I think for that reason alone Spring weddings will always be some of my favs. I’m a sucker for photos during bloom season! They got married in the church his parents did. She wore his great grandmothers pearls. It was like I said a day that honored tradition, love and friendship.

Thanks Amanda and Vince for being the sweetest couple. We truly were so blessed by the time we spent with you and were honored to play a part! Thank you for all your continued support. Cheers to your first full year as man and wife! Happy Anniversary (sorry im a couple days late- #mombrain).

WE LOVE THE STOLARCZYK’S!!!!

xoxo, Davy & Em

To the new mama in the middle of a pandemic... . .. // Dewan Pregnancy Announcement

I can’t imagine growing and having a baby in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

Well I sorta can. I was due with my second March 17, 2020. Thank GOD she came three weeks early. Before all of this craziness really hit. We ended up having to go back into the hospital for severe jaundice and she also had one tongue, lip, and two buckle ties. It was such a raw, scary and emotional time. I truly thank God daily that I didn’t have to be alone with her with Davy at home. Im thankful we were there together- no matter how badly I wanted to be home with my first born. So although Im not 100% in your boat just know my heart has been thinking of you. I’m also thankful its my second. Sure having a kiddo at anytime is hard, having a second is an adjustment (although she seriously is the best baby) but having a kid in these uncertain times is tough. Especially when you are a first timer.

So many unknowns. No matter how much you prepare- you still can’t prepare fully. You also experience a love so strong- that no book could come close to describing the feeling you have when you have your child. So on that note I see you first time mamas. I see your fears and uncertainties. I know they are only heightened with a pandemic. But know you aren’t alone. Know you are STRONG and CAPABLE! You and your partner CAN DO THIS! And I pinky promise it will so be worth it. :)

And on a personal note to Jeff and Erin- I am so happy you have each other. Photographing your wedding, engagement and couple photos has been a highlight in my career. I’m so thankful that this job brought us together and for your continuous support. Seeing your family grow- is beautiful. Its one of the best parts of being a wedding photographer- watching my couples grow families- well its priceless. I can’t wait for your maternity photos! I can’t wait to meet little miss Lilly Jean! You got this you guys- YOU GOT THIS!

A magical snowy engagement // Calli + Dan

Its currently April 10th and as I write this there is snow covering the ground! So I figured it would only be fitting to share this session from this past January.

Meet Calli and Dan. They are truly one of the best couples I’ve ever had behind my camera. They have this easy love that is just so genuine. And they also are the BEST SPORTS. Like I think I say this for all my couples, (because I have the best couples in the WORLD) but we had to reschedule twice to get this magic. Calli really wanted snow for her engagement photos and the first date we had- it rained. Figures right?! Second date we had it turned into a blizzard with waayyyy to much snow! But luckily- LUCKILY- our patience paid off and we were blessed with this winter wonderland!

It was seriously so magical- like walking in a snow globe. No matter how old snow gets living in CNY, it will always be so stunning when it looks like this. So despite the snow we have in APRIL right now- I gotta say it is rather beautiful. Like a fresh start after all this COVID stuff. Hoping things turn around soon but in the mean time I’ll be drinking some coco with my toddler and watching her play outside with daddy. OH! And catching up on blogging and singing my couples praises. Thanks Calli and Dan for being the absolute best, so kind and patient! Ya’ll are the best! xoxo- Em

An early spring maternity session

The Krieders. I just love this little fam. Fun fact I went to school for a year with both Kelly and Joel. They then waited for each other for a whole year as they served in missions on opposite sides of the world! Isn’t that amazing?! Then they got married in Hawaii (sadly our dates conflicted and we couldn’t shoot it) and then after a time they got pregnant with their first! Whats even more amazing is that these two packed everything up and became missionaries to Africa when Beniah was just a little over 3 months old. I’m not kidding when I say these two are AMAZING! Their faith and courage is so inspiring to me.

Last spring Kelly was pregnant with their sweet little girl Phoebe. Since it’s almost been a year since this shoot I wanted to reflect back. I did their engagement, pregnancy/moving announcement, family, maternity and newborn photos. Now they are renovating a home and I know it is going to be breathtaking! I am so honored when families choose me again and again to photograph their stories. It is so humbling and I truly truly don’t take it lightly. I am blessed abundantly and am so thankful for the beautiful families and couples God has put in my life and business. Thank you guys and Thank you Krieders! You two are so perfect for each other and I cant wait for family photos in the house when its all completed!

xoxo- Em

Also if you scroll down to the end you can see Beniah and Natty “playing” together. More like my Natalie stalking and freaking Beniah out with her lack of personal boundaries but still it was cute! haha! Beniah and my Natalie are just 5 weeks apart! It was so fun to be pregnant with Kelly and then see our kids meet and walk together. How fun!

Faith + Jer // A downtown Syracuse winter engagement

Being a Central NY photographer we often have very limited bookings in February. Its the dead of winter and everyone just wants to stay inside and count down the days till spring. Well if you open the dictionary and go to the word “Trooper” you’ll see a photo of these two. HONESTLY, you guys! They made the most out of their engagement session. It was only 15 degrees out and the wind made it even colder. We were all frozen, but did they complain? No! Not even once. They laughed, they danced, Jer dropped Faith in the snow (HA!) but not once did they grumble or complain. They embraced our harsh NY winter and brought so much Joy! We even took a break half way through to go inside and warm up with some coffee. Which honestly made this shoot so sweet and memorable.

When you plan your engagement photos know that I will always be down to capture what makes you two- you two. If that means drinking coffee on a park bench, then lets do it! If it means cuddles on the couch, then lets do it! If it means dressing up to the nines and popping some champagne, then lets do it! Whatever makes you two you- then know I am more then willing to incorporate it into your session. :) We walked to a nearby park and they drank their coffee. The sun was shinning, the wind died down and it was truly such a beautiful moment.

I cannot wait to photograph this wedding. Faith and Jer ooze JOY and I just adore their kind hearts and authentic friendship. I am blessed with the best clients and bridal couples EVER! Thanks, you two for choosing EJP and braving the winter weather with Davy and I! Who knew a shout out on instagram, for a couple, for a bridal styled shoot would lead to this. God is so good! xoxo- Em + Davy

Fabio + Amy // A vibrant summer wedding on the hottest day of the year // Rochester, NY

You guys when I say it was the hottest day of the year- I’M NOT KIDDING! It was 110-115 degrees on Amy and Fabio’s Wedding day!! And you know what? It did not phase them at all. Like yes, hello, we were all sweating bullets and I know for a fact by the end I did not smell to peachy- but I don’t know if I have ever met a couple who embraced it so well. There was no complaining about the weather- like at all!! Fabio was wearing a full custom made suit or Amy had a full glam makeup look and they embraced all the sweat together. You know its true love when you don’t mind cuddling in and sticking to each other a little bit. ;) They just were so happy to be married. So shocked that it finally was happening. The long awaited day finally here and it didn’t matter what Mother Nature threw at them it was going to be a phenomenal day.

That’s what weddings are all about. Sure, everyone wants decent weather on their wedding day but I know for a fact that if it was raining, snowing, or a heat wave these two were going to celebrate! Goodness, they are my kind of people. Thank you Fabio and Amy for being such good sports. For trusting us completely and being willing to do anything. This wedding will always be so memorable- the joy these two walk in is beautiful and contagious. Davy and I left Rochester feeling so blessed to be doing what were doing. We have our dream clients and were so thrilled Amy and Fabio chose us to photograph their big day. We LOVE Mr. & Mrs. TAMAYO! :)
