I can’t imagine growing and having a baby in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.
Well I sorta can. I was due with my second March 17, 2020. Thank GOD she came three weeks early. Before all of this craziness really hit. We ended up having to go back into the hospital for severe jaundice and she also had one tongue, lip, and two buckle ties. It was such a raw, scary and emotional time. I truly thank God daily that I didn’t have to be alone with her with Davy at home. Im thankful we were there together- no matter how badly I wanted to be home with my first born. So although Im not 100% in your boat just know my heart has been thinking of you. I’m also thankful its my second. Sure having a kiddo at anytime is hard, having a second is an adjustment (although she seriously is the best baby) but having a kid in these uncertain times is tough. Especially when you are a first timer.
So many unknowns. No matter how much you prepare- you still can’t prepare fully. You also experience a love so strong- that no book could come close to describing the feeling you have when you have your child. So on that note I see you first time mamas. I see your fears and uncertainties. I know they are only heightened with a pandemic. But know you aren’t alone. Know you are STRONG and CAPABLE! You and your partner CAN DO THIS! And I pinky promise it will so be worth it. :)

And on a personal note to Jeff and Erin- I am so happy you have each other. Photographing your wedding, engagement and couple photos has been a highlight in my career. I’m so thankful that this job brought us together and for your continuous support. Seeing your family grow- is beautiful. Its one of the best parts of being a wedding photographer- watching my couples grow families- well its priceless. I can’t wait for your maternity photos! I can’t wait to meet little miss Lilly Jean! You got this you guys- YOU GOT THIS!
